Electronic Environments and AdaptivCool form Alliance to Reduce Data Center Energy Consumption

Release date: 8/18/2009

Marlborough, MA — August 18, 2009 —
Electronic Environments Corporation (EEC) a leading provider of design, engineering, energy management and service solutions for mission critical facilities such as data centers, today announced the formation of an industry alliance with AdaptivCool—provider of expert data center airflow and thermal management solutions. This alliance is designed to help companies of all sizes reduce energy expenses and operating costs.

Electronic Environments will provide AdaptivCool’s HotSpotr and award winning Room Scale Intelligent Cooling (RSIC) system as part of its core offering, expanding the breadth and scope of Electronic Environments’ already significant data center infrastructure solutions—with an added emphasis on data center energy management.

“The value added reseller (VAR) agreement between AdaptivCool and Electronic Environments is an ideal combination of services—enabling us to meet the growing need for data center cooling solutions,” said Rajesh Nair, General Manager of AdaptivCool. “With data centers currently comprising 1.5% of all electricity consumed within the United States and that statistic forecast to double in the next few years, this alliance will help companies in the mission to reduce their carbon footprints.”

AdaptivCool provides expertise in data center airflow and thermal management. AdaptivCool’s data center energy management tools dynamically control airflow and provide data center and IT managers with real-time thermal monitoring.

“We recognize that the AdaptivCool solution represents a compelling value proposition to the ever evolving data center market nationwide, and we are proud to have them as part of our expanding solution set,” says Michael Kingsley, President of Electronic Environments. “The collective experience of Electronic Environments and AdaptivCool will benefit our customers seeking to reduce data center energy consumption and save money.”
